Who are we?

Green Dance Company, previously Positively Dance, was created in 2001 and consists of dancers in grades 1st – 12th who love to dance and have a desire to pursue it to a higher level. The dancers are from many communities throughout Southwest Michigan, ranging from Buchanan, Cassopolis, Decatur, Dowagiac, Jones, Marcellus and Niles.  

This program has dedicated its time and talent to many communities of Southwestern Michigan.  They perform throughout the year at many area events such as the Niles Apple Festival, Dowagiac Summer in the City, Under The Harvest Moon Festival, Paw Paw Days, Kalamazoo Growlers Baseball Game, as well as several area parades. They entertain for ISDs, and local schools.

The dancers learn to love and appreciate the arts, as well as experience the joy of giving. They also participate in a number of community service projects such as performing at the Schoolcraft Showcase of Talent which benefits children with cancer in Southwest Michigan.

 In addition, the Company attends local dance performances, takes master classes and workshops throughout the year.
